Car insurance: Big race models on display at BIMS

Friday, 01 August 2008

Motorists heading to the British International Motor Show for its last day this Sunday can get a closer look at some of the most powerful vehicles in racing driving.

The event will be showcasing models from the Formula 1 (F1), Le Mans 24 Hours race and touring car competitions.

In addition, motor racing fans worried about missing the afternoon's big race need not fear, as a special live presentation of the Hungarian Grand Prix will be shown, hosted by F1 legend Murray Walker.

However, drivers should be sure not to let the excitement get to their heads and keep their speed to a minimum on the way home, in order to keep their car insurance policies safe.

"As well as virtual racing simulators and a number of celebrated pedigree sports cars, there will be live coverage of the Hungarian Grand Prix, televised on a 20-square metre screen, courtesy of Philips," event bosses stated.

The BIMS has been running since July 23rd at ExCeL London.
