When sorting everything out for a holiday - from spending money to travel insurance - there are a few key areas people are cutting back on, it has been claimed. According to Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, Brits are focusing on reducing the amount they spend on getting to and from destinations, as well as on accommodation. Research by the company revealed the first of these areas was where individuals were making the biggest savings. Since 2007, the amount families are spending on travel has fallen to £545 - a drop of approximately £82. Courtney Wylie, managing director of Holiday-Rentals.co.uk, suggested there were a number of ways of securing the most competitive prices. She said: "Check out the package deals by all means, but you can get good deals by searching out the best flights and then find accommodation separately." Another way holidaymakers may be able to cut their costs is by searching for a cheap travel insurance quote online. Travel Insurance - Get Swiftcovered today!
