Travel insurance: Brits 'struggling to switch off from work'

Friday, 05 June 2009

After buying travel insurance, packing their bags and jumping on a plane, British holidaymakers may still be finding it hard to switch off from work it has been suggested.

Research by recently revealed some 23 per cent of people keep in touch with colleagues from the office and check their emails while on a break - a ten per cent rise compared with 2008.

Head of product marketing Jonathan Cudworth said modern technology made it a lot easier for people to keep a track of what is going on in their absence.

A few years ago, this would not have been as straightforward, he stated.

Mr Cudworth concluded: "People think there will be some massive change and the whole world will come to a grinding halt without you at work and then they come back and everything's normal."

Buying a good travel insurance policy may give holidaymakers who find it hard to switch off one less thing to worry about.
