The weakness of the pound against the euro may not have a significant impact on the number of people buying travel insurance, jumping on a plane and heading to the continent this summer, if the comments of one company are anything to go by. According to World First, Brits are still booking holidays to Europe and it added Greece is proving particularly popular. The group explained there are a number of reasons for this country's appeal. It stated the destination is significantly cheaper than other locations in the sun. However, Theo Papathanasiou, Greek desk manager with the foreign exchange broker, pointed out low cost was not the only attraction. The company representative stated: "Historical significance is another factor. There are many unique historical sites and ambience of antiquity and ancient times that drive people here for holidays." Meanwhile, individuals who are planning a trip to Greece may find they can buy cheap travel insurance online. Travel Insurance - Consistently voted the "Best Buy"
