More people are considering cheaper holiday options such as camping and budget hotels, travel insurance customers might be interested to hear. Peter Hampson is director of the British Resorts & Destinations Association and remarked on the "considerable" activity in the domestic tourism market. He said there is "strong" interest in the budget end of this type of holiday, with consumers interested in camping and inexpensive hotels. An added benefit is that such resorts and locations are usually developed so there is entertainment and activity on-site. "It's not about staying in a wet, dreary field with no facilities," he added. Mr Hampson's comments follow the results of a VisitBritain survey published this month, which looked at where people were planning to spend their Easter break. Some 22 per cent of adults said they hoped to get away for a night and, of these, 73 per cent intended to do so domestically. Travel Insurance - Consistently voted the "Best Buy"
