Car insurance: College pupils get lessons

Pupils at a college in Witchford, Cambridgeshire, were recently given some important road safety lessons by the authorities in the area.
In the event organised by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue, Cambridgeshire county council's road safety team and Cambridgeshire police, children were shown the consequences of serious accidents, reports the Ely Standard.
Community fire safety officer for East Cambridgeshire Julie Sandbrook helped to create the initiative and said that there are many dangers on the local roads that youngsters have to watch out for.
She commented: "Many of which are very serious and require fire service involvement because of the nature of our rural roads. Unfortunately young people are very often the victims."
Different zones were set up by those in charge of the event so that the children could look at various safety angles.
This week, insurance.co.uk urged drivers to maintain their cool behind the wheel over the bank holiday weekend as they have a tendency to get aggressive during this period.
