Car programme to feature on Radio 5 live

Friday, 06 July 2012

The BBC has announced details of a new car programme that sounds as if it might be just up car lovers' street.

The programme has been given the title "5 live Drives" and is set to feature the likes of news and road tests. It is set to hit the airwaves for a single instalment on July 7th. Given its name, it won't be a surprise to many radio listeners to hear that they will feature on BBC Radio 5 live.

Radio listening is a popular driving activity for car insurance holders, so perhaps some will be behind the wheel while they tune in.

Among those cars being tested on the programme are the Range Rover Evoque as well as the Volkswagen Up. The show is also set to look into Britain's motor industry and its future, according to the BBC.

"5 live Drives promises to be an entertaining and informative road trip," it says.
