Wednesday, 01 October 2008

Motor insurance customers looking to replace their current model with a sportier ride may be interested to hear that Corvette has lowered the prices of a number of its cars.

The entry-level C6, available as a convertible or coupe, now costs £39,999 on the road, while the Z06 is priced from £54,995.

As a result of the revisions, buyers will save more than 11 per cent.

Car insurance customers interested in the C6 may be interested to hear both versions reach 60 miles per hour (mph) in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 186 mph.

Meanwhile, the Z06 reaches 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and can hit 198 mph.

The manufacturer stated: "Corvettes have always offered an unbeatable combination of blistering performance, everyday comfort and driveability - and they are now better value than ever before."

Earlier this year, the fastest ever model produced by the car maker – the ZR1 – made its debut at the British International Motor Show.
