Including
winter sports cover in your
travel insurance policy is a necessity for people who wish to plan a ski holiday this winter.
Although the ensuing costs are a necessity, people can save money on their skiing in other ways.
For instance, British skiers and boarders can make their cash go a lot further if they travel east, according to a survey from the Post Office.
It was found that the Bulgarian resort of Bansko is the cheapest, costing just over £800 for an average six-day trip, which includes lift passes, ski school costs and food. The country is now emerging as a popular choice for skiers, threatening France's dominance in the industry.
Sarah Munro, head of travel money at the Post Office, said: "This is welcome news for cash-conscious family skiers. Prices are more competitive than before in the bargain hunter’s report of Bansko in Bulgaria."
On the other hand, Winter Park in Colorado was valued at almost £1,900 for a similar week's holiday.
