Motor insurance customers can add their own personal touch to their vehicles this spring when DVLA Personalised Registrations holds an auction at Old Trafford football ground.

There will be several personalised registration plates for sale at the auction, including 9 0, which has been given a reserve price of GBP10,000.

Last year, car insurance customers flocked to the sale to get their hands on one of the six O plates, which sold for a collective GBP666,000.

Jody Davis, events manager at the organisation, said she expects this year's auction to be just as successful as the last.

"As 2009 proved, our O series was extremely popular with personalised registrations lovers and there's no reasons why 9 O, which goes under the hammer on Friday March 26th, will not follow in the same vein," she stated.

Ms Davis added that there will be around 1,500 plates in the auction to suit all tastes and budgets.
