Energy efficiency a 'must have' when it comes to kitchen items

Friday, 19 October 2012

It seems that energy efficiency has become a “must have” when it comes to kitchen items like ovens.

That’s according to Mid Century Kitchens’ Ian Thackeray, who has explained that, while larger ovens will be needed by families – as many home insurance holders would no doubt attest – features like systems that can be programmed in AGAs have been developed as a way of keeping the costs of using an oven down.

This will no doubt prove useful in today’s economic world. And with the economy the way it is, Mr Thackeray also said that people are after kitchens with longevity – and budgeting for that.

“As the recession bites, the home becomes increasingly important as a retreat away from the tough economic climes,” he said. “The kitchen is a hub for the family and customers recognise this and are willing to invest.”

Recently, Mr Thackeray explained that modern types of kitchen were going to be trending over the course of next year.
