Car insurance: Pando Eco offers value for money

Wednesday, 01 October 2008

Car insurance customers looking to save costs on motoring may be interested in the new Fiat Panda Eco models.

The vehicles - the Panda Active Eco and Dynamic Eco - have recently gone on sale and Fiat says they can provide an eco-conscious choice for drivers as well as value for money.

Equipped with a 1.1-litre engine, the Active Eco produces 54 bhp at 5,000 rpm, while the Dynamic Eco is bigger with a 1.2-litre engine and 60 bhp at 5,000 rpm.

Fiat explains that both models offer an "impressively low" level of carbon emissions at 119 g/km.

"We are delighted to announce these new Eco cars," says Fiat UK marketing director Elena Bernardelli.

"This is another example of how seriously we take the environmental issue, while offering drivers real value-for-money motoring."

Lower engine sizes can often have a beneficial effect on car insurance premiums as they are considered to be less powerful in comparison to those with bigger engines and a higher top speed.
