Car insurance: "Naughty" drivers exposed
Wednesday, 14 May 2008
A fifth of British drivers have got frisky with their partners while they are driving, according to research released by the British International Motor Show.
Nearly a fifth of UK motorists also admit to spending more time staring at good-looking drivers than concentrating on the road, which may interest car insurance customers.
And 30 per cent have confessed that they flirt with traffic wardens to avoid tickets.
The research was commissioned by organisers of the British International Motor Show, who have now set up an online site to which drivers can email their secrets.
Vicki Butler-Henderson, motoring expert, said: "We really are a nation of naughty drivers! It's unbelievable what some of us get up to in our cars like a friend of mine who drove five miles with a birthday cake on the roof!"
The British International Motor Show is held at ExCeL in London from July 23rd until August 3rd and will house hundreds of cars on display as well as global premieres and interactive features.
