The title of the motor most searched for by car insurance customers in the UK has gone to the
Volkswagen (VW) Golf.
According to a survey by Carmony.co.uk, VW's flagship vehicle is the most sought after car in the country, followed by the Fiat 500 and Ford's Focus.
The Jeep Cherokee claimed fourth spot in the study, with Audi's R8 sports car completing the top five.
Others to make it into the top ten include the Audi A3, Land Rover Freelander, the Nissan Micra, Chrysler Voyager and Toyota Celica.
Alan Hazelhurst, managing director of the website, said that
motor insurance holders have always held a strong affection for the Golf and it is no surprise that it topped the final table.
"The Volkswagen Golf has always been a favourite with the British motorist and it's no surprise it's the most searched-for model on Carmony.co.uk," he added.
