Travel insurance: Singapore 'more accessible'

Friday, 05 October 2007

Improved travel opportunities look set to be opened up for UK travellers to Singapore after a new agreement was reached to decrease flight restrictions.

Now, regulations concerning non-European Union (EU) and US flight firms have been relaxed, something that should improve accessibility, officials have said.

The UK aviation minister Jim Fitzpatrick stated that travellers are due to be offered great new chances to see the world.

"I am delighted by this new deal, which will be good for passengers and for the aviation industry both in the UK and Singapore," he commented.

He added that it is the most liberal agreement of its kind which could lead to other open aviation rules within the EU.

The new rules will come into effect next year on March 30th, while those who want to take advantage of the change may consider a viable travel insurance plan.

Recently, Take the Family.com claimed that a growing number of cheap flights have led to more families travelling abroad.
