Holidays 'more stressful than work' for some travel insurance customers
Tuesday, 17 August 2010
Holidays are supposed to be a relaxing time away from the office, however, for many travel insurance customers, a break with the family can be even more stressful than going to work.
Research by Teletext Holidays found that one in four mums find the organisation involved with a family holiday more stressful than a day in the office.
Four in ten admit to actually dreading their annual summer holiday, while 38 per cent avoid travelling abroad because of the stress it could cause.
The biggest causes of holiday stress were the journey (32 per cent) and getting everyone packed (27 per cent).
Victoria Sanders, managing director of Teletext Holidays, said: "Choosing the right holiday which allows parents to switch off is so important. Research beforehand to choose a family friendly resort can help to ease the strain and we advise parents to consider all-inclusive holidays so that they don’t have to go near a supermarket or cooker."
HolidayExtras.com recently stated that people should do thorough research before going on holiday to avoid disappointment.
