Car Insurance: Honda Accord is 'safest in its class'

Thursday, 27 November 2008

In the event of an accident, as well as having a good car insurance policy, most motorists would want to be in the safest possible vehicle.

Therefore, drivers looking to buy a new motor may want to check out the updated Honda Accord.

In a recent Euro Ncap crash test, the model scored the best combined safety rating in its class.

The vehicle recorded the first-ever three-star pedestrian mark in the large family category and was also awarded five stars for adult protection and four for child safety.

Ken Keir, managing director at Honda UK, expressed delight at the results for the Accord.

He said: "Customers can experience the most effective safety technologies put into practice, with our goal of providing safety for everyone."

Features in the new model which could protect drivers and passengers on the road include dual-stage front airbags, active head restraints and a collision mitigation braking system.

Drivers who opt for a vehicle with a comprehensive list of safety equipment may find they qualify for cheap car insurance.
