Car insurance: Hyundai ix35 gets ready for debut

Thursday, 27 August 2009

A new model from Hyundai is getting ready to debut next month and could tempt car insurance policyholders who are looking for a new motor.

The ix35 is set to be revealed for the first time in Frankfurt, Germany, when an automotive show takes place.

The sports utility vehicle (SUV) is aimed at replacing the current Hyundai Tucson, which the manufacturer described as one of the best-selling cars of its kind in Europe.

However, the ix35 will come with updated and "distinctive" design cues, as well as a more refined powertrain said to provide better fuel efficiency, lower running costs and reduced carbon emissions compared to rival SUVs.

In addition, it is claimed to have "sleeker styling" and "enhanced aerodynamics".

"The ix35 also has a smaller footprint than C-segment hatchbacks and [multi-purpose vehicles], meaning it will also appeal to buyers who are seeking a more stylish alternative to conventional cars," Hyundai explained.

The Frankfurt Motor Show is scheduled to begin on September 15th and end 12 days later.
