Travel insurance: Ibiza 'has quiet areas for families'
Wednesday, 09 July 2008
There are two sides to the Spanish island of Ibiza and the location still provides an element of tranquillity, it has been suggested, views that could attract those looking for travel insurance.
Paul Bradley from the Spanish Property Owners Guild commented that the louder side of the island is becoming less popular as party-goers are seeing prices rise.
Ibiza has an element of escapism, he said, with areas of great scenery to be enjoyed by families, rather than noisy bars.
"[This is] something that the mainland resorts cannot compete with as you can only sail there and back rather than hop about," he commented.
Mr Bradley added that the main resorts have lost a sense of individuality but the original areas of the islands still have a unique charm. These are normally situated away from San Antonio, the official also remarked.
In total, there are four Balearic Islands, Mallorca, Formentera, Menorca and Ibiza, largely known for its clubbing culture.
