Monday, 05 January 2009

Iggy Pop has been recruited to front a £25 million car insurance ad campaign, it has been revealed.

Swiftcover is making use of the punk legend to highlight the hassle-free benefits of its wholly online service.

The Get a Life campaign will demonstrate how people who buy their motor insurance on the web will be able to use the time and money they save to get on with their day-to-day business.

One ad highlights the convenience of storing documents safely online, while another focuses on how efficient Swiftcover's 60-second quote service is.

Marketing director Tina Shortle said the new initiative should help the company stand out in a competitive area.

She added: "As the only online insurer, we feel this new and unique approach reflects our positioning as a young and innovative company."

In other news, research conducted by Swiftcover's parent firm AXA recently revealed Britain has one of the lowest road death rates in Europe.
