Travel insurance: 'Krakow is popular in winter'
Thursday, 03 April 2008
A popular destination for travellers making trips to eastern Europe is Krakow, according to Fregata Travel.
While in recent times Prague may have been considered the destination of choice, stated manager at the company Tim Campbell, Krakow is up and coming.
It is getting busy, he noted, despite the fact that hotel options may in fact be quite limited in the city.
Moreover, Krakow is a good option in the winter, he suggested, as the prices tend to shoot up during the spring.
"You'll get much better value for money than you would do in May or June, and if it snows it looks very picturesque," he observed.
He urged travellers, however, to be cautious because the location can get very cold at these winter times.
There is competition for passengers opting to fly to the Polish city as both Ryanair and easyJet serve that destination, offering services from London and Luton.
People wishing to head abroad may wish to consider travel insurance in case they need cover while abroad.
