From November 1st, new legislation will mean that all new tyres will need to display fuel efficiency, wet braking performance and exterior noise emission information.

Wet braking performance is absolutely crucial for road safety, and enabling drivers to make a more informed choice could help to reduce the likelihood of car insurance claims resulting from accidents.

Consumers will also be able improve their vehicle's environmental performance by selecting a more efficient product off the shelf.

TyreSafe has launched an educational campaign, including video guidance and web tools, to explain the tyre labelling to consumers.

The non-profit organisation hopes this will reduce confusion and keep motorists informed of the important changes.
