Male motor insurance customers are more likely than female ones to slow down their driving in order to conserve fuel.

That's according to new research from the Environmental Transport Association which noted a marked difference in attitude between the sexes when it came to motoring.

While 45 percent of men would cut their speed to cut their fuel bills, only 37 percent of women would do the same.

However when it comes to car insurance quotes you don't have to cut speed to save money.

With Swiftcover you can get cheap motor insurance sorted out online in just 60 seconds.
