Motor insurance customers reminded of MOT dates
Thursday, 17 June 2010
Car insurance customers can use a new MOT and service reminder tool to find out in advance when the next due date is for their annual service.
More than 767,000 motor insurance policyholders miss their MOT test every year.
If caught, the car insurance holders face fines of up to £1,000 and Motor Codes believes its new tool could help save drivers money.
"Over 23 million MOTs are carried out each year and the reminder tool at motorcodes.co.uk is an easy to use solution to avoid a costly mistake or last minute rush caused by forgetting to book MOT and service work," said Chris Mason, Motor Codes director.
The tool is able to handle multiple vehicles which each have different test dates, making it perfect for any motor insurance customers with more than one vehicle.
Motor Codes, which is a self-regulatory body in the automotive sector with a code of practice for repairs and servicing, advises all car insurance holders to ensure they go to an approved repair garage for their MOT so the work is carried out to a high standard.
