One issue that is worse than traffic jams is damage to your car, but while motor insurance can help with one of those problems it looks like the other may be a bit tougher to rectify.

During last month, the UK saw some notable traffic hold-ups, with the M25 singled out as the most affected area, according to new figures released by satnav company TomTom

The London Orbital was responsible for five out of the top-ten traffic jams in July, and one tailback saw traffic queuing for nearly 50 miles.
As well as this, the A64 to the A1237 interchange in York saw the second-worst traffic jam, with a queue spanning 30 miles reported on 3rd July.

July 8th was the peak traffic jam point of the month, as an incredible 1,027 miles of stuck traffic was witnessed across the country.

However, at least with Swiftcover car insurance things move fast. With our online system you can get a quote and get covered in less than 60 seconds.
