The Road Safety Authority has joined forces with car park group Park Rite to launch a road safety awareness campaign ? that can also save on car insurance.

Some of the country's major car parks will now feature posters reminding drivers to buckle up and dip their headlights during the daytime.

A Park Rite spokesperson says putting up the posters in car parks is hoped to get drivers off to the right start as soon as they start their journey.

Forgetting to wear a seatbelt can result in fines and up to four penalty points on a driver's licence. And this can cause car insurance premiums to rise.

So the message is to belt up and save money on car insurance as well as lives. Forgetting to do so is a pointless risk according to the RSA.ADNFCR-3010-ID-19541981-ADNFCR
