Car insurance: Satnav warning in Hampshire

Police in Hampshire have issued a warning to drivers with satnavs after a number of crimes in the county.
Thieves have been targeting vehicles to steal the devices - a crime that could leave owners off the road for a while and forced to make a claim on their car insurance policies to repair any broken windows or forced locks.
Five cars in Eastleigh and Hedge End have been affected thus far, This is Hampshire reports. These incidents have led to drivers in the West End being warned not to leave any valuables unattended.
In the spate of crimes in the area, two Peugeots, one Nissan van, a Citroen and also a Mini were affected.
West Yorkshire Police recently urged drivers to remove any traces of satnavs when they leave their cars, as doing so could prevent a crime and therefore the possibility of a car insurance claim.
