Save money by holidaying in a group

Tuesday, 02 August 2011

Parents can keep the costs of a holiday down by going in a group, it has been claimed.

According to singlewithkids.co.uk, travel insurance customers could benefit by going on vacation as part of a large group with friends and family in order to save money.

Chrissie Lewandowski, co-founder of the website, said: "If you're organising a group you can get a much better cost than if you just organise it for one parent. What we also find is that if you go on a group holiday the entertainment is cheap because the children have already made friends."

She added this will also mean that the kids will benefit from playing with mates, and so they do not expect to go on expensive days out, and adults can get some company from other parents who have also gone on vacation at the same time.

Travelex recently released a report that revealed six in ten UK holidaymakers will head to Europe this summer where the pound is struggling against the euro.
