Car insurance: Seat Ibiza 'has impressive residual values'

Wednesday, 30 July 2008

Car insurance customers picking up the new Seat Ibiza 5dr may be able to benefit from some impressive residual values.

According to research from CAP New Monitor, the model will be worth 43 per cent of its original cost after three years of ownership or 36,000 miles usage.

It may be that the extra money when selling the vehicle comes in handy for those looking to pay expensive car insurance policies or purchase a new model.

Martin Ward, the company's manufacturer relations manager, stated that the Ibiza 5dr has a "much-improved quality over the outgoing car".

He said: "Much of the interior is as good as some more premium brands. This quality will certainly stand the test of time, and will make the Ibiza a very desirable used car for many years."

Seat has been producing the Ibiza model, the follow-up to the Fura, since 1985.
