Travel insurance: Online service for Indian bus users
Wednesday, 24 October 2007
Those travelling to India may be able to take advantage of a new online booking service from Ticketvala.com, which will enable them to purchase bus tickets over the internet.
Funding for the online mission has been provided by Footprint Ventures, which is a venture capital organisation, reports Internet Travel News.
Chief executive officer at Travis Internet (Ticketvala.com) Haranath Lokanadham noted that the existing infrastructure is "largely unorganised" at present and that the company could excavate the gap.
"Ticketvala.com is one of the first real-time online bus service with cutting edge features that also provides a dedicated backend support that is safe, user friendly, convenient and secure," he commented to the website.
He added that a special call centre has also been opened for non-internet travellers in both English and non-English languages.
People journeying abroad may wish to take out a suitable travel insurance plan to ensure that they are covered in the event of accidents.
Money can be saved by students travelling abroad if they do not buy flashy items, an official at gapyear.com recently urged.
