Travel insurance: Websites aid holiday decisions
Friday, 16 May 2008
Travel websites are a good channel via which tourists can book the correct holidays, it has been claimed.
Managing director of Fortune Cookie Justin Cooke stated that when travellers use these services they are not simply attempting to make a booking, they want a preferred option.
Such sites are the beginning of the overall "experience", Mr Cooke asserted, with some quality avenues having been opened up recently.
"There are some really great websites that are starting to do that now. There are sites that allow you to customise and filter your search results," he commented.
And the decisionmaking process can be improved further with the introduction of interactive elements, he suggested, which enliven the process.
Most websites can also be obtained by users anywhere, he noted, which makes them a "perfect" medium.
Mr Cooke also stated that the whole portal ought to be accessible for users to further improve the system.
Tourists should ensure that they have adequate travel insurance before setting off on journeys.
