Used car market steady in the UK

Wednesday, 27 July 2011

Figures have revealed that the used vehicle market has been steady through the first half of 2011.

This is according to data from the British Car Auctions, which revealed to motor insurance customers that despite the ongoing economic gloom across the country this market sector is doing pretty well this year.

Its research found that the average prices across all used car sales have been stable for the last 18 months.

Recently, a survey from Which? Car highlighted to motor insurance customers that Skoda is the UK's most satisfying automobile brand to own.

Its report found that four of the manufacturer's models, including the firm's Yeti, Superb Estate and two Superb Hatch cars, were in the top ten popular vehicle list.

Richard Headland, editor at Which? Car said: "If you really want to know about cars, ask the experts – the people who drive them every day. Motorists have told Which? Car that they love practical, good value cars, exemplified by Skoda.”
