Car insurance: VW Golf Estate may help drivers cut costs

Monday, 05 October 2009

Motorists who already know where to go for the best deals on budget car insurance may find a new model from Volkswagen can help them save even more money.

The updated Golf Estate is available in three trim levels - S, SE and Sportline.

For each of these editions of the auto, there is also a version with particularly low CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy - from the BlueMotion Technology range.

The green variation of the Golf Estate - with a 105 PS 1.6-litre TDI common rail engine - releases 109 g/km of CO2 and is capable of 67.3 mpg.

As a result, the model may help drivers save money at the pump and on road tax.

The car's eco credentials mean owners will pay band B vehicle excise duty.

Available to order immediately, the auto is due to start arriving in showrooms on November 6th.

Prices range from £16,380 to £22,580.

Individuals who find the vehicle helps them keep their running costs down may be able to reduce their outgoings further by searching for low cost motor insurance online.
