The chance was opened up by Gillingham Town Safer Neighbourhood Team and Partners and Communities Together (Pact), while the emergency services also attended the drive, reports the Dorset Echo.

Furthermore, the second day attempted to highlight the safety angle foe those of any age, organisers said.

The opportunities arose for members of the public after Pact was informed about the irresponsible driving of a number of locals.

Preston North End footballer Simon Whaley recently rewarded pupils at a school in the city after a successful safety initiative.
