Ensure travel insurance is valid by having jabs

Holidaymakers must make sure they have the necessary jabs to ensure their travel insurance is valid, according to one expert.

Travellers were told that while many things need to be arranged, whether it is buying tickets, changing money or finding somewhere for the pets to stay, meeting travel insurance requirements should not be forgotten.

Expert Billy Phillips told huahinlandforsale.com: "One of these is likely to be that you have had the necessary inoculations, particularly against tropical and sub-tropical diseases that may be prevalent in the country that you are travelling to."

Furthermore he added that people should check that their policy covers goods and equipment like golf bags, skis and surf boards.

Recently, research conducted by World First Travel Insurance found that over 50 per cent of their customers decided to buy insurance online direct with a chosen provider.

It also discovered that the second favourite way to purchase holiday insurance was over the telephone and not face-to-face.
