People who are planning to pack up their car and head to festivals this summer need to make they have adequate car insurance.

Ensuring that people have the correct motor insurance policy in place can mean music lovers do not miss out on their favourite bands, according to moneysupermarket.com.

Julie Owens from the price comparison site said: "The last thing anyone wants is to be stuck at the side of the road with little choice but to listen to ... the radio."

Ms Owen has recommended people to consider securing motor breakdown cover as an add-on, and claims that it is important for festival attendees to check their policies carefully so they are aware what is covered before they depart.

She adds that individuals might want to check that a policy offers onward travel to ensure that anyone who does break down can still be sure to make their festival in time.
