Motorists who always ensure they buy the cheapest online car insurance may find an updated model from Kia can help them make savings in other areas as well.

The new cee'd range is to be fitted with tyres from Michelin that are specifically designed to be more energy efficient than standard products.

In addition to helping drivers save money at the pump, the car parts are also a safe choice, according to Kia.

The manufacturer pointed out: "They are capable of delivering the most powerful grip possible on wet roads and are extremely wear-resistant."

As a result, cee'd buyers may be in a better position to protect their cheap motor insurance premiums.

The tyres that will be used on the model come from the Michelin Primacy HP and the Energy Saver ranges.

Statistics provided by Kia reveal the products have cut carbon emissions by nearly 29 million tonnes since their launch in 1992.
