Car insurance: Seat unveils new Leon Cupra and Ibiza FR

Wednesday, 22 April 2009

Two new vehicles have been unveiled by Seat and they could be worth considering for motor insurance customers who want a change.

The "eye-catching" Leon Cupra has undergone design enhancements on its exterior, including a new bumper, a polished steel oval tailpipe and "spectacular" 18-inch alloy wheels, among other features.

As a 240 PS TSI model, it will sit above the other Leons in the range, Seat explained.

A "high-tech theme" is central to the Ibiza FR, which comes equipped with a 150 PS twincharger 1.4 TSI engine.

It promises to deliver lower fuel consumption levels together with reduced emissions and "punchy performance".

The interior is styled differently to other cars in the Seat product line-up, the manufacturer added.

In addition to sporty-looking seats, the steering wheel has built-in shift paddles and the Formula Racing logo is displayed on the instrument display.

Other recent news from the automaker included the receipt of an award for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, which won a marketing prize.

This was for a campaign involving the chance to win a Seat Ibiza Ecomotive.
