Car insurance: Vauxhall Astra 'should attract a whole new group of buyers'

Thursday, 01 October 2009

A model being released in December may encourage a whole new group of customers to consider taking out car insurance for a Vauxhall model, it has been suggested.

The manufacturer claimed the revised Astra - which is available to order now - should appeal to motorists looking for an attractive, high-class auto.

It stated the vehicle offers the kind of technology and innovation not normally found in the compact category.

Marketing director Andy Gilson said: "The Astra aims to attract a new group of buyers - those who may never have considered a Vauxhall before."

He predicted people would appreciate the fact the auto offers the style and quality of a model like the Audi A3, but with a more affordable price tag.

Meanwhile, Vauxhall owners who do not want to jeopardise their cheap motor insurance premiums by driving around on worn tyres may want to take advantage of a new deal from the manufacturer.

It recently announced its MasterFit centres will match any local like-for-like quote on the crucial car parts.
