Security tips for home insurance owners at Sheffield drop-in session

Monday, 02 May 2011

Home insurance owners in Sheffield have been told they can pick up security equipment and tips to keep their property safe from a drop-in session this Wednesday.

Arranged by the North East Derbyshire Community Safety Partnership, residents can get new safety alarms and talk to local police officers about crime at Ridgway Village Hall.

A spokesman for the organisation told "We would encourage all residents to come along to this event, as it is a valuable opportunity to voice any concerns they may have about crime and related issues."

Recently, the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) revealed that home insurance prices have increased slightly in the last year, but only a little.

Furthermore, head of corporate affairs at BIBA, Graeme Trudgill, said that property premiums had remained pretty stable for the last decade.

On top of this, the organisation revealed that the current cost for building insurance had stayed at around £200 and contents cover at £150 for the last ten years.
