A pair of teens in the Wiltshire area have been charged in connection with a number of car crimes.

The duo, from Chippenham, were accused by police of acting out a number of thefts that took place in Febraury and March, reports the Wiltshire Times & Chippenham News.

Both of the boys charged, aged 17 and 16, were found by the County Division at Wiltshire police after an extensive Priority Crime Team Investigation.

Richard Jones, Detective Constable, noted that the force has been comprehensive in its ability to catch those involved.

He told the news source: "We know how distressing car crime is to members of our local communities and we want to reassure them that we will use all the resources at our disposal to catch those responsible for such offences and bring them before the courts."

In related news, motorists in Yorkshire have been warned by The Wheatley and Intake Safer Neighbourhood Team that car thieves are operating near Doncaster Royal Infirmary, reports the Doncaster Star.

Drivers may wish to take out motor insurance that could cover them in the event of theft.
